Neki je že rok po mailu pošiljal ampak vseeno, ker imamo nekateri ledne vijake Simond kupljene po letu 2000, sem se malo bolj pozanimal in dobil naslednji odgovor od SIMOND-a:

The number of the lot is obtained by reading the 3 first figures marked on the handle.

We will supply you with a similar in quality ice-screw.

A defect may appear on SIMOND ice-screws manufactured since January 2000.
It is a micro crack, difficult to see, which can grow larger with time.
It appears on the handle of the ice-screw at the junction with the tube.

We don't want our customers to run any risk, so as a preventive, we have decided to recall all our ice-screws.
We ask you to stop using SIMOND ice-screws bearing the batch numbers indicated here above, and shipping them back for checking, even if they seem quite normal.
